Privacy and Cookie Statement RentBuddy B.V.

Your privacy is of great importance to RentBuddy B.V. We therefore comply with the relevant laws and regulations on privacy, including the General Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter: AVG). This means that we:

  • Clearly define our purposes, before we process your personal data, through this Privacy Statement;
  • Store as little personal data as possible and only the data necessary for our purposes;
  • Explicitly seek consent to the processing of your personal data, should consent be required;
  • Take necessary security measures to protect your personal data. We also impose these obligations on parties who process personal data for us;
  • Respect your rights, such as the right to access, correct or delete your personal data processed with us.

Your details are safe with us and we will always use them properly. In this privacy statement, we explain what we at RentBuddy B.V., OakSoft B.V., RentBuddy Rent, BackStage do with all the information we learn about you.

Your Account
Certain areas of our business require you to register first. You must then provide information about yourself and choose a user name. We will then create an account for you to log into with this user name and a password of your choice.
For this purpose we will use your:

  • Name and address information
  • E-mail address

We need this information because of the contract we have with you. We will keep this information for three months after you close your account. We keep this information so that you do not have to fill it in again each time you visit the company and so that we can contact you more easily if necessary. You can change information in your account whenever you want.

Sending newsletters
We have a newsletter and you will be added to the list of subscribers only with your permission. In the newsletter you will read news, tips and information about our products and services. For this we use your:

  • Name and address information
  • E-mail address

We have a legitimate interest in doing this. We will retain this information until you cancel the subscription.

The newsletter is sent out monthly by mail. The content of the newsletter includes the following:

  • Information regarding updates and changes to our applications

You can cancel your newsletter subscription at any time. Every newsletter contains an unsubscribe link.

Contact form
With the contact form you can ask us questions or make requests. For this purpose we use your:

We need this because of the contract we have with you. We will keep this information until we are sure that you are satisfied with our response.

Statistics and profiling
We keep statistics on the use of our company, but this is always done anonymously. We use these statistics to improve our company in order to show only relevant information, for example. We may combine your personal data to find out more about you. Of course we will respect your privacy at all times. If you do not want this, you can always report this to us. For this purpose we will use your:

We need this information because of the contract we have with you. We keep this information for one year.

Advertising
We would like to send you advertising about offers and new products or services. We do this by:

  • By phone

You can object to this advertising at any time. Each letter tells you how to do so. Every e-mail contains an unsubscribe link. You can block us or use the unsubscribe option. You can indicate this when you receive a call. You can also report this via your account.

Disclosure to other companies or institutions
With the exception of parties necessary to provide the services listed above, we do not under any circumstances disclose your personal data to other companies or institutions, except if we are required to do so by law (for example, if the police require it in the case of suspected crime).

Statistics
We keep statistics on the use of our company, but this data is always anonymized .

Our company includes social media buttons. With these, the operators of these services collect your personal data.

Our company uses cookies. Cookies are small files in which we can store information so that you do not have to fill it in every time. But they also allow us to see that you are visiting us again.

You have the following rights:

  • Access to the exact personal data we hold;
  • Getting errors corrected;
  • Having outdated personal data removed;
  • Having personal data transferred to another party;
  • Withdrawal of consent;

Please make sure that you always clearly state who you are, so that we can be sure not to edit or delete data belonging to the wrong person.

We will in principle comply with your request within one month. However, this period may be extended for reasons relating to the specific rights of data subjects or the complexity of the request. If we extend this period, we will inform you in good time.

File a Complaint
If you would like to file a complaint about the use of your personal data, please email sales@rentbuddy.ey. We will address any complaint internally and communicate it further with you.

If you feel that we are not helping you in the right way, you have the right to file a complaint with the supervisory authority. This is called the Personal Data Authority.
